Distinction Applied was born in our store shop where necessity met inspiration. After years of perfecting the art of painting small parts, Brian, our owner, found himself staring at a problem—literally.

It was early 2020, and the auto industry had hit the brakes, leaving our shop with too much time on its hands. Enter Bill, our production manager, and his 2018 Punk’n Jeep, which was sporting some seriously faded black plastic. As Brian stood there, with a cup of tea in hand, he had an epiphany: “Why not turn this faded plastic nightmare into our next big thing?”

And just like that, Distinction Applied was born—proof that sometimes, great ideas come from the most unexpected places, like a Jeep in desperate need of some TLC.

We're a small but mighty team, made up of friends and family who share a passion for what we do. Operating out of Hernando, Florida, we might not have a big corporate office or a sprawling factory, but what we do have is heart, determination, creativity, and a whole lot of humor to get us through the day.

We tackle every request head-on, and strive to make each one the very best. We're proof that you don't need a big team to make a big impact—you just need a little ingenuity, a lot of passion, and a Jeep with some faded plastic to kick things off.
